Borba Food tour
In Borba, there is a ritual that tastes like Alentejo. It is called “Fazer as Onze” (Having a snack at eleven). From tavern to tavern, the path is paved with snacks that tell stories – sausages, cheeses, migas (breadcrumbs) and other delicacies that are pure heritage. Always well washed down, of course, with the wines of this region, one of the most emblematic in Alentejo. Between taverns, the visit invites you to discover the marble with which several buildings were constructed, starting with the monumental Fonte das Bicas fountain, built in the late 18th century.
The Route:
We will visit some taverns where local snacks are the stars of the show. During the tour, we will take the opportunity to show you some of the monumental marble works that are so characteristic of this region.
